Never send money
No gift cards, crypto, "investments" or help with hospitals, customs or tickets — however sad the story. That is how almost every romance scam ends.
Keep the conversation here
Scammers rush to move to WhatsApp or Telegram, where we can't protect you. Here your messages are checked for scam patterns.
Video call before meeting
Talk by video inside Amaveri first. Someone who always has an excuse not to show their face is a red flag.
Check the verified badge
Every profile here passed ID, selfie and address checks, and the profile photo is compared with the selfie. If something doesn't match, report it.
Meet in a public place
A café or restaurant during the day. Get there and back on your own and don't share your home address at the start.
Tell someone you trust
Say where you're going, with whom and when you'll be back. Family can help you notice warning signs, too.
Protect your personal data
Never share passwords, codes received by SMS, bank details or documents — Amaveri will never ask for them in a message.
Report and block
If something feels wrong, trust your instinct. Reporting is anonymous and our safety team checks it every day.
